Become a president of the Union Region!

Dear friends,
We have the pleasure to annouce that elections
for the president of the Union Region have started. The interest for
our show has been slowly but constantly growing, and
now, in the second season of broadcasting, the idea of a
virtual state with
virtual elections started spreading among our neighbours...
:-)
The citizens of former Yugoslav
republics are also beginning with the elections for their
e-president, and they have expressed the desire and the
ambition to improve not only the conditions in their country, but in
the region as well. As a result of these desires we have created a
virtual Union Region. It comprises the territories of exYU
republics, and the reason we gave it the name Union is to avoid any
connections with the past, and create the idea of better and
brighter future. The name Union Region is politically neutral, it
implies sense of alliance, unity, and of course, reminds us of
excellent brand of beer, our favourite drink:-)
We start wit the elections for the president of this region at the
end of May. The rules and the procedure are the same as for the
elections of the virtual president of the state, except in this case
the candidates from exYU republics will spent a weekend together,
making friends with each other and confronting their programs. The
candidates will gather in Novi Sad, the capital and one of the most
beautiful cities of Vojvodina. All the participants of the regional
elections will get a free weekend on the banks of beautiful blue
Danube, in a second largest historical and cultural centre of
Serbia and Montenegro.
The shooting of the show is scheduled for 27th and 28th of May in
the premises of TV Panonija. During the first day candidates will
compete for the president of their own country, and on the next day
they will confront and run against their political opponents from
the other countries.
On the set candidates have five minutes to present their ideas and
program of governing the country, solving the problems in the
region, and to convince us and the audience that they would make
better politicians than the ones we already have. Our candidates can
both be serious or fun. We aim to present new faces, fresh ideas and
interesting concepts.
